How does it work?

This service is not an usuall site translator. If you have an english page translated, you won't get the page in czech, but the original english page will be shown with the feature that will display a czech translation below each word when you put cursor over it.

Example: move your mouse over the underlined word to see its translation.

In addition to pages and text translation, you will find english - czech dictionary here and, to ease translations on pages, you can generate your own bookmarklets or you can install extension for Google Chrome.

Bookmarklet - Site translation

This bookmarklet will help you with site translation. Display the page you want to translate in the browser and then select this bookmarklet. Translation will begin immediately.

Bookmarklet - Dictionary

This bookmarklet will help you with words translation. Highlight the word on the page you want to translate (as if you want to copy it to the clipboard) and then select this bookmarklet. The translation will appear in a new window.

For Mobile

At the url http://web2cz.forrest79.net/m/en/ you can find version ready for mobile phones. It includes a site and text translator and a dictionary.

If you are more interested in an offline dictionary for mobile phones, you can download free Dictionary79. Dictionary should run on most mobile phones supporting Java (J2ME) and it contains a complete vocabulary.
